Tigullio and Portofino

A destination of upscale tourism for years, crowded by yachts, Portofino keeps the sea traditions still alive.

In Portofino,a shopping-addicted and jet-set paradise, a walk to the church of S. Giorgio is not to be missed as is a walk to Brown Castle with its gorgeous garden.

Santa Margherita, an elite destination, is overlooked by the hill with the beautiful Villa Durazzo surrounded by its park; the town boasts the two nice churches of San Giacomo and of Santa Margherita.

In Rapallo, besides the historic centre, the Museo del Pizzo (Lace Museum) is a true jewel. The tradition of laces is documented through pieces of unparalleled beauty. From the town centre it is also possible to reach the Sanctuary of Montallegro by cable car to enjoy the marvellous view over the gulf.

In Zoagli, where the ancient tradition of hand-woven damasks is still alive, the natural beauty of the coast with its cliffs overhanging the sea is really superb.
